IELTS Exam Structure

Listening

The Listening section assesses your ability to understand spoken English in various contexts, such as conversations, monologues, and academic discussions.

Duration: 30 minutes + 10 minutes to transfer answers

Tasks:

Reading

Speaking

The Speaking section evaluates your spoken English through a face-to-face interview with an examiner. You will be tested on your fluency, vocabulary, pronunciation, and ability to express ideas clearly.

Duration: 11–14 minutes

  • Part 2: Speaking on a given topic for 2 minutes
